Students in Years 7-12 have the opportunity to take part in he Australian National Chemistry Quiz (ANCQ). The ANCQ is the Premium Chemical Education activity run by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute.
The quiz is not an exam but a means of promoting chemistry in schools and enthusing the students to study chemistry. The quiz comprises 30 multiple choice questions and takes one hour to complete.
Performing Arts Festival for Catholic Schools & Colleges in Western Australia was established to help the students of Catholic schools and colleges experience the spirit and tradition of the performing arts.
The Festival seeks to provide students with specific 鈥榩erformance platforms鈥� where they have the unique opportunity to give of their very best and perform to a public audience. Open to both primary and secondary school students, the performance categories encompass choral, drama, musical, instrumental, vocal and dance aspects of the performing arts. Approximately 18,000 students enter the festival each year.
The Festival commences with a Mass (Thursday 25 July) at Infant Jesus Parish, Morley and performances (daytime and evening) are held between Monday 29 July and Friday 6 September in various venues throughout the metropolitan area.
The Festival culminates with a Final Concert staged at the Perth Concert Hall.
The Angelico Exhibition for Catholic Students is a prestigious annual event on the Catholic school art calendar. The Angelico Exhibition is named after Blessed Fra Angelico, Patron before God of Artists. The Exhibition provides a broad public forum through which Catholic students throughout Western Australia are able to exhibit their dynamic artistic talents. In 2019, the Angelico Exhibition will take place at Forrest Centre, 221 St George鈥檚 Terrace, Perth.
Piano students from Years 3-12 will be performing prepared pieces at the 2018 Piano Recital. Light refreshments provided. This is free event, no tickets required. All welcome.
Tuesday 23 July is a student free day for students in K-12.
K-6 interviews will be held in the students’ classroom.
Teaching staff from Marcellin Campus will be available from 10.00am-7.00pm for Parent Teacher interviews. Opportunities to book interviews with teachers will be available via PTO.聽 Families where teachers have requested an interview, will be given the opportunity to book interviews as priority.
Students are required to attend with their parents in their Winter Uniform.
Students in Years 10, 11, and 12 involved in Arts programs for 2019 have the opportunity to enjoy a 14 day Arts tour of New York City.
The tour boasts performance masterclasses and arts workshops with industry professionals as well as iconic New York experiences such as biking through central park, viewing Broadway shows, the Highline, and walking the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset.
