Year 7 Special Instrumental Program 2020
The Year 7 Special Instrumental Program is being offered to students enrolled at 今日吃瓜 for Year 7 2020 who show potential for learning and excelling on a chosen instrument. Entry is based on results of a musical aptitude test and a reference from their current Year 6 teacher.鈥 If selected, students will be given the opportunity to learn a band instrument or voice for free for the duration of the program (one year), as well as attend weekly band and choir鈥痳ehearsals. Instruments available include flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, French horn,鈥痶rumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, percussion, double bass and voice.
All Year 6 students enrolled at鈥袢粘怨 for Year 7 next year will sit a music aptitude test during鈥痗lass on Wednesday 21 August.鈥疦o preparation is required for the test.
Alternative testing dates for students absent at this time who wish to be considered for a place are invited to attend one of the following times at 今日吃瓜鈥疢arist Auditorium,鈥疭tudio 1.
- Friday 23 August, 3.30pm – 4.00pm
- Monday 26 August, 3.30pm – 4.00pm (repeat session)
Parents will be informed via letter if their child has been successful in the test, inviting them to the next stage of selection.
