Humanities Tour Parent Evening

The Humanities Tour聽provides students with the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia鈥檚 history, culture, heritage and democracy.

Parents/Guardians are invited to attend an information evening where they will receive important information about the schedule of the tour.

Year 8 Parent Information Night

Parents are invited to an Information Night where they will hear important information from the College Principal, Deputy Principal Mission and Catholic Identity, Leader of Wellbeing and PCG Teachers. Information includes:

  • Learning Expectations
  • Pastoral Care
  • Goals
  • Key Dates

Year 12 Retreat

As part of their Year 12 experience, the Year 12 students will attend a three-day Retreat in Bindoon.聽During this important time of quiet reflection and time away from the usual school routines, the Year 12’s have an opportunity to seriously reflect upon their lives, explore and deepen their spirituality and faith experiences through small group sharing, reflective prayer and celebrating Reconciliation and Eucharist.

Whilst not at retreat students will participate in a school based program designed to support the achievement of academic goals.聽

Students will participate in Religion, English or Literature workshops and will also have an opportunity to set and define motivating and realistic goals for the year. A sausage sizzle lunch cooked by members of the Senior Leadership Team will #unite and serve as another bonding experience for the cohort. The second day of the program will see students sit assessments in Literature or English and Religion.

As a Catholic, Marist school, the retreat and study program are compulsory events for all Year 12 students.

Years 7-12 Guild Swimming Carnival

Students from Years 7-12 will enjoy a fun day of competition at the annual Guild Swimming Carnival.


Results from the Carnival will also assist with聽selection for ACC Swimming Carnival.

Students are to make their own way to the venue by 8.30am and enter from the front of HBF Stadium and make their way to the indoor pool. If this is not possible, students can collect a form from Student Services, or download from Consent2Go, to catch a bus that will leave at 8.40am and return at 3.15pm.

Student Requirements

  • Students will need to bring their own recess/lunch and drinks (no canteen available)
  • Student to wear their guild uniform
  • Females to wear one-piece bathers, and males to wear board shorts/speedos/skins

 

Year 7 Parent Information Night

Parents are invited to an Information Night where they will hear important information from the College Principal, Leader of Wellbeing and will have the opportunity to meet their child’s PCG Teacher.

Information includes:

  • Learning Expectations
  • Academic Support
  • Communication Process
  • Pastoral Care
  • Goals
  • Key Dates

The evening will conclude with a cheese and wine function allowing parents the opportunity to meet. This is a parent only event.
